Psychological testing is usually conducted for the purpose of answering a question.

Children are often referred for testing by their parents, therapist, pediatrician or school faculty.  Sometimes evaluations are court-ordered or deemed necessary by the Department of Family and Children Services as well.  Various reasons for an evaluation or questions to be answered with testing may be related to:
